Reverie (noun): a state of deep reflection
Hi! I'm Jacqueline.
I believe therapy is about more than feeling better—it's about understanding yourself more deeply. The way we think, relate to others, cope with stress, and move through the world is often shaped by experiences we may not even realize continue to influence us. My goal is to help clients uncover those patterns with curiosity, compassion, and honesty so they can begin creating lasting change.
I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, complex trauma (C-PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), perfectionism, eating disorders, body image concerns, attachment wounds, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they can't quite explain, overwhelmed by self-criticism, or disconnected from the life they want to live.
My work is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, exploring how childhood experiences, significant relationships, and past events continue to shape present-day emotions, beliefs, and behaviors. Together, we'll gently explore the parts of your story that may have been overlooked, avoided, or left unresolved—not to dwell on the past, but to better understand how it continues to show up in the present. I believe that what we avoid often holds the greatest opportunity for growth, and that meaningful healing begins when we have the courage to approach ourselves with curiosity instead of judgment.
Alongside this deeper work, I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and behavioral interventions to help clients navigate the practical challenges of everyday life. I believe insight and action go hand in hand. Understanding why we struggle is important, but so is learning the skills to respond differently.
As a therapist, I strive to create a space that is both warm and challenging—a place where you feel deeply understood while also encouraged to grow. My role is not to tell you who you should become, but to help you better understand who you already are, trust your own inner wisdom, and build a life that feels authentic, balanced, and meaningful.
